Bexar County Won't Have Any Black Judges in January; Ellis's $7 Million Loan Program Could Help Local Black Females

State Rep. Ron Reynolds is standing with Traci A. Gibson. Commissioner Rodney Ellis's $7 million "CAMPAIGN LOAN PROGRAM" will come in handy like never before during the upcoming Tuesday, November 3, 2026, General Midterm Election, in Harris County, Texas. Fresh off her commanding victory over Mike Doyle to seize control over the Harris County Democratic Party, Traci A. Gibson has a unique opportunity to etch her name in the annals of American history. Never before in American history has either political party fielded a larger contingent of "BLACK JUDICIAL NOMINEES" than what the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) is on the verge of assembling after the upcoming Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Democratic Party Primary Runoff Elections.

"FALSE NARRATIVE."

The notion that Democratic white voters in Harris County, Texas, don't support "BLACK WOMEN" is a false narrative that must be dispelled. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (Black female) beat State Rep. James Talarico (White male) in Harris County, Texas. However, Crockett did not run an effective "GROUND-GAME" aimed at driving voter turnout in the Black community, which is a shame. As a refresher, Jasmine Crockett received 190,615 votes, for 52.22% of the vote, and James Talarico only received 170,564 votes, for 46.72%. If you skip down to the race for Harris County Democratic Party Chairman, you will find that there, Traci A. Gibson (Black female) beat Mike Doyle (White male) by a much larger margin of victory, which disproves the notion that "WHITE DEMOCRATS" are not supportive of Black women.

"TRUE NARRATIVE."

Throughout history, there has always been a strong relationship between a segment of the white population and African Americans. And the case is no different in Harris County, Texas. If you look at the recent race for Harris County Democratic Party Chairman, Traci A. Gibson (Black female) received 207,963 votes for 66.80% of the vote, and Mike Doyle (White male) received 103,350 votes for 33.20% of the vote. That said, "WHITE VOTERS" aren't the problem. The so-called "BLACK/BROWN" coalition has fallen apart in Harris County, Texas, as Hispanic voters are voting for candidates with Hispanic surnames, no matter their political party affiliation.

"NO MORE BLACKS."

The Bexar County Courthouse is located in San Antonio, Texas. As of the 2020 census, Bexar County's population was 2,009,324, which makes Bexar County, Texas's fourth-most populated county. For the most part, Bexar County, Texas, is a predominantly Hispanic County, with a growing African American population. Blacks only make up 7.4% of the population in Bexar County, while Hispanics make up 59.3% of the population. Long story short, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, all of the "BLACK JUDGES" were voted off their judicial benches.

"TROUBLING PATTERN."

Thanks to the handiwork of Mike Doyle, the now-defeated Harris County Democratic Party Chairman, "BLACK JUDGES" in Harris County, Texas suffered election defeats during the 2022 Midterms and 2024 Presidential Election cycles that could have been avoided. However, instead of supporting "BLACK WOMEN," who are the backbone of the Democratic Party, Mike Doyle took their hard-earned money and sent $110,000.00 to his friend, Diane Lewis, at the Utah Democratic Party. And to make matters worse, Doyle used the hundreds of thousands of dollars that were donated to his "COORDINATED CAMPAIGN" during the 2024 Presidential Election cycle, to promote and brand tied to the LGBTQ+ Community, who only donated a fraction of what several Black women donated.

"VERY DEEP COFFERS."

Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis has been using his "CAMPAIGN BANK ACCOUNT" to invest millions of dollars in the New York Stock Exchange for decades. In fact, before resigning his position as a State Senator, his Republican colleagues discovered that $500,000.00 in donated funds had vanished from Rodney Ellis's campaign bank account. According to published reports, Rodney explained away the missing $500k by telling his Republican colleagues that he had lost the money in the stock market and had made it back in other investments. Even today, as the Harris County Commissioner for Precinct One, Rodney Ellis continues to play the stock market to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars on some days. That said, Commissioner Rodney Ellis's "CAMPAIGN LOAN PROGRAM" could play a crucial role in helping "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES" win their races on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, if they take advantage of Ellis's generosity.

- BEXAR COUNTY -

Back on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, every "BLACK JUDGE" in Bexar County was thrown off the bench by Hispanic voters. Remember, Bexar County is 59.3% Hispanic and only 7.4% African American. That said, it is clear that "HISPANIC VOTERS" have a plan that they are working on during the 2026 Midterm Election cycle. To this end, local civic, community, and elected leaders in Harris County, Texas, had better follow suit and develop a strategic effort to help many of our duly-qualified "BLACK WOMEN" win their downballot judicial races in Harris County, Texas.

- MONEY WATCH -

Commissioner Rodney Ellis has $7,783,681.00 inside his campaign bank account, according to his 1/15/2026 filing. What this means is that Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis has the means to help Traci A. Gibson and the large contingent of "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES" make history in Harris County, Texas, if he decides to do so. Remember, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis has developed a "CAMPAIGN FINANCE LOAN PROGRAM" to help Hispanic women win in Harris County, Texas, but has not announced how much he plans to spend to help "BLACK WOMEN" make history in Harris County, Texas, but it could be in the millions of dollars.

- EXHIBIT A -

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis loaned Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo $100,000.00 to help her win her re-election bid against her Republican challenger, Alex Mealer. Ellis's plan worked. As a refresher, as Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo received 552,903 votes, for 50.8%, and Alex Mealer received only 534,720 votes, for 49.2%, in the race for County Judge.

- EXHIBIT B -

On Thursday, October 6, 2022, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis loaned Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones $100,000.00 to help her unseat Republican Harris County Commissioner R. Jack Cagle in the 2022 Midterm Election. Yes. Ellis's plan worked. As a refresher, as Lesley Briones received 122,644 votes, for 51.7%, and Commissioner R. Jack Cagle received only 114,718 votes, for 48.3%, in the race for County Commissioner for Precinct 3, in Harris County, Texas.

Hall of Fame KCOH Broadcaster Ralph Cooper and I, Investigative Reporter Aubrey R. Taylor, are planning to run an "OLD SCHOOL STRATEGY" to protect the legacy of "BLACK FEMALES" like Judge Germaine "Janet" Tanner, as she seeks re-election to a third term as the presiding judge for the 311th Family District Court, in Harris County, Texas. Also, don't forget that Board Certified Attorney Melanie Miles is the candidate my open-minded "INDEPENDENT" and "DEMOCRATIC" Houston Business Connections Newspaper© readers, and Ground Game Magazine© on KCOH 1230 listeners, should vote for on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary "RUNOFF RACE," for Justice of the Peace Precinct 7, Place 2, in Harris County, Texas.

"BLACK WOMEN."

It is clear that Harris County Democratic Party Primary voters trust "BLACK WOMEN" to lead, and are committed to protecting the legacies of our women. While Judge Sharon Burney, the presiding Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7, Place 2, is an African American female, voting for her because of her mother's legacy on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, would be a huge mistake. That said, we are strongly encouraging African American women in Harris County, Texas, to encourage your family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to cast their vote for Board Certified Attorney Melanie Miles.

"HISTORIC FIELD."

The Harris County Democratic Party is in the process of assembling the strongest field of African American judicial nominees ever assembled in American history. Below is a list of the (27) twenty-seven African American females and one African American male who have already punched their ticket to the Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Democratic Party Primary General Election.

We are currently in the process of preparing to visit local courtrooms in our quest to select our nonpartisan “ENDORSEMENT SLATE” for the Tuesday, November 3, 2026, General Midterm Election. To this end, our “FULL SLATE” of endorsements will be released to the general public on Monday, October 19, 2026, which is the first day of early voting.

- ENDORSEMENT -

Judge Germaine "Janet" Tanner, the presiding judge for the 311th Family District Court, is our "ENDORSED CANDIDATE" on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the General Midterm Election, in Harris County, Texas. That said, we are strongly encouraging our "INDEPENDENT AND DEMOCRATIC" readers of Houston Business Connection Newspaper©, and Ground Game Magazine on KCOH 1230 listeners, to support our endorsed judicial candidates. Judge Germaine Tanner is the clear "FRONTRUNNER" in the race for the 311th Family District Court. She ran unopposed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary. Still, Judge Tanner received 292,744 votes, for 100% of the vote, while her Republican opponent, named Joe Radler, was also running unopposed, but only received 147,810 votes, for 100%, in the Republican Party Primary.

ENDORSEMENT -

Judge Damiane "Dianne" Curvey, the presiding judge for the 280th Family District Court, is our "ENDORSED CANDIDATE" on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the General Midterm Election, in Harris County, Texas. That said, we are strongly encouraging our "INDEPENDENT AND DEMOCRATIC" readers of Houston Business Connection Newspaper©, and Ground Game Magazine on KCOH 1230 listeners, to support our endorsed judicial candidates. Judge Dianne Curvey is the clear "FRONTRUNNER" in the race for the 280th Family Protective Order District Court. She ran unopposed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary. Still, Judge Curvey received 293,267 votes, for 100% of the vote, while her Republican opponent, named Rose Cardenas, was also running unopposed, but only received 147,915 votes, for 100%, in the Republican Party Primary.

Investigative Reporter Aubrey R. Taylor (me) will be keeping a watchful eye on Mike Doyle and Councilman Edward Pollard between now and Tuesday, November 3, 2026, as we work to expose their alleged plan to sabotage newly elected Democratic Party Chairman Traci A. Gibson's ability to be successful during the 2026 Midterm Election cycle.

There are (27) Twenty-Seven Black Democratic Judicial Nominees on the "HCDP SLATE" for the Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Election

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

The Harris County Democratic Party is on the verge of making “AMERICAN HISTORY” during the 2026 Midterm Election cycle, if “DEMOCRATIC VOTERS” stick to the script.

“Vote Blue No Matter Who” has long been the mantra of the Democratic Party at the local, state, and national levels. Still, there are certain segments, or wings of the Democratic Party, aiming to bring recompense upon “BLACK DEMOCRATIC FEMALES,” because of their recent success.

Listen. Anyone planning to align themselves with Mike Doyle, Sean Doyle, Mary Doyle, and Councilman Ed Pollard, and their newly-formed General Purpose Political Action Committee called “The KICK Enterprise Club PAC,” should know that they will be exposed.

Now is not the time for division within the ranks of the Harris County Democratic Party. And what attorney Allison Mathis is planning to do regarding actively campaigning against former Judge Ramona Franklin is a “DIVISIVE STRATEGY,” which should be denounced.

Former Judge Ramona Franklin placed her name on the ballot to run for the 496th Criminal District Court and won her race fair and square. Thus, Franklin is the “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE,” and must be supported by Democratic voters on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the General Midterm Election, in Harris County, Texas.

“COUNTY JUDGE.”

The position of Harris County Judge is not a judicial position, but is rather an administrative one, where the “COUNTY JUDGE” is the presiding officer and voting member of Commissioners Court. That said, the “COUNTY JUDGE” is largely responsible for overseeing all county government departments and approving the annual operating budgets for the entire county.

As the former Mayor, City Controller, and At-Large Councilwoman, Annise Parker has the relevant experience required to bring respectability, accountability, and fiscal responsibility back to Harris County’s Commissioners Court.

While Councilwoman Letitia Plummer is an African American female, “BLACK VOTERS” must resist the urge to support Plummer for symbolic reasons, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary, and nominate former Mayor Annise Parker.

On the Republican side of the aisle, former Harris County Treasurer Orlando Sanchez, “OUR CHOICE,” on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the race for Harris County Judge.

Orlando Sanchez is committed to lowering property taxes, reducing crime even further, and stopping the flooding problems that currently exist in our region.

While Warren Howell is a “LIKEABLE GUY,” it’s the former Houston City Councilman and Treasurer, Orlando Sanchez, who will give (THE GOP), which is rebranding itself as “The Greater Opportunity Party,” the best chance to win in November.

“HISTORIC FIELD.”

If Ysidra “Sissy” Kyles defeats Judge Brian “Edward” Warren in the race for the 209th Criminal District Court, and Melanie Miles defeats Judge Sharon Burney, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary Runoffs, Democrats will make history.

You might not know this, but never before in “AMERICA’S ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY,” has any political party fielded a “JUDICIAL SLATE,” which included (29) twenty-nine African American judicial nominees.

Today, there are (27) twenty-seven African Americans already nominated by Democratic Party Primary voters in Harris County, Texas. Of the (27) twenty-seven African American “JUDICIAL NOMINEES,” there are (26) twenty-six African American females, and only one African American male in this historic field “HISTORY MAKING,” trailblazers.

With two African American females running against one another in the race for Harris County Justice of the Peace Precinct 7, Place 2, there’s definitely going to be (28) twenty-eight African American “JUDICIAL NOMINEE” on the ballot running as Democrats in November.

Ysidra “Sissy” Kyles could likely overcome the deficit she faced on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary race for the 209th Criminal District Court, when she faced off against Judge Brian Warren and former Judge Robert Johnson.

As a refresher, Judge Brian Warren received 112,187 votes, for 35.7% of the vote, to finish first. Ysidra Kyles received 101,776 votes, for 32.4%, to finish second. And former Judge Robert Johnson received 100,643 votes, for 32.0%.

Since neither candidate running in the 209th Criminal District Court race received a majority of the vote, Warren and Kyles will face off in a Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Democratic Party Primary runoff election, to decide the winner.

“JUDICIAL SLATE.”

As of today, Harris County Democratic Party voters have made it clear that they trust “BLACK WOMEN” to lead. In fact, Democratic voters overwhelmingly selected Traci A. Gibson, an African American female, over Mike Doyle to lead their party into battle on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, against their Republican counterparts.

"HISTORIC FIELD."

The Harris County Democratic Party is in the process of assembling the strongest field of African American judicial nominees ever assembled in American history. "FAIR AND SQUARE."

Traci A. Gibson beat Mike Doyle fair and square. Yes. You heard me right! Mike Doyle was soundly defeated by Traci A. Gibson on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the race for Harris County Democratic Party Chairman. However, not everyone within the HCDP is applauding Traci A. Gibson's historic win over Mike Doyle. Long story short, Mike Doyle, Sean Doyle, Mary Doyle, Councilman Ed Pollard, and a few other people banded together to form a Political Action General Purpose Committee, a few days after the filing deadline, in anticipation that Traci A. Gibson would defeat Doyle, on "SUPER TUESDAY," in the Democratic Party Primary.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

Instead of Mike Doyle, embracing Traci A Gibson and trying to help Traci succeed, he and his cohorts, like Councilman Edward Pollard, appear to be planning to sabotage Gibson's ability to help Democrats win on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in Harris County, Texas.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Democrats should cast their vote for former Houston Mayor Annise Parker over Former Councilwoman Letitia Plummer. Also, "BLACK VOTERS," should support Parker because, as a former Mayor, City Controller, and Councilwoman, Annise Parker has the relevant experience that's needed to bring respectability, and "FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY," back to Harris County, Texas, if she becomes the next Harris County Judge.

- ENDORSEMENT -

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Republicans should cast their vote for the former Harris County Treasurer, Orlando Sanchez, who also served as the At-Large City of Houston Councilman for Position 3. With an emphasis on Lowering Property Taxes, Reducing Crime, and stopping Future Floods, we believe that Sanchez would make a great Harris County Judge by "RESTORING ORDER" and bringing sensibility back to the position of Harris County Judge.
