Mayor John Whitmire has already announced his plan to run for re-election in next year's 2027 City of Houston Mayoral Election. It's a fact that over the last few years, Councilman Ed Pollard has been a thorn in Mayor Whitmire's side, as Pollard seeks to position himself for a possible bid to unseat Mayor Whitmire. That said, Councilman Pollard appears to have sold his soul to the devil, so to speak, and aligned himself with Mike Doyle, who has demonstrated his disdain for "BLACK WOMEN" time and time again, during his tenure as Chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party.

I am pleased to share some good news with the Northeast community. According to my source, Mr. Donald Hall, after going through legal battles with the owner of the old Kmart center, demolition work is expected to begin.
I personally want to thank everyone who stayed involved throughout this 14-year battle. I especially want to mention a few people I have worked closely with during this process: Mr. Allen Provost, Ms. Maxine Seals, and Mr. Fred Woods, President of the Northwood Manor Civic Club. Your dedication and commitment have not gone unnoticed.
I also felt it was important to mention Council Member Tarsha Jackson of District B, who stayed with the community throughout the process.
On another note, while speaking about city council matters, I would also like to share some troubling news coming from other sources, including Mr. Ray Page and Mr. Allen Provost. I have been told that District J Council Member Edward Pollard has been working very closely with a new Democratic club called the Kick Enterprise Club PAC. I am not surprised to hear that Council Member Edward Pollard is said to be one of the main people organizing this Democratic/Liberal club.
It appears that he believes he can reshape District J into something like a city without a mayor or city manager. I am also not surprised to see another Black man working against Black women. It is my understanding that Council Member Edward Pollard’s plan is to ensure that the newly elected Harris County Democratic Party Chair cannot raise money to help Democrats win in November.
I also want to bring to the public’s attention that District J has only a few Black voters, yet he seems to believe he can build enough political power from District J-City alone to win a mayor’s race.
I urge all my readers and friends to read the Business Connections Newspaper and Ground Game Magazine, because there will be much more information coming out about the new independent club, Kick Enterprise Club PAC.
In my next article, I will provide a full report on this organization and explain how Council Member Edward Pollard’s political career started. I will also discuss how I was one of the main reasons he was elected H-BAD President, and why he was unable to hold H-BAD monthly meetings because he could not establish a quorum.
The only person who consistently respected his position as President was Ms. Almeda Dent, who has been very loyal to H-BAD ever since it was organized by Jewell McGowen, Doris Hubbard, Beulah Shepherd, and others.

The Harris County Democratic Party is on the verge of making “AMERICAN HISTORY” during the 2026 Midterm Election cycle, if “DEMOCRATIC VOTERS” stick to the script.
“Vote Blue No Matter Who” has long been the mantra of the Democratic Party at the local, state, and national levels. Still, there are certain segments, or wings of the Democratic Party, aiming to bring recompense upon “BLACK DEMOCRATIC FEMALES,” because of their recent success.
Listen. Anyone planning to align themselves with Mike Doyle, Sean Doyle, Mary Doyle, and Councilman Ed Pollard, and their newly-formed General Purpose Political Action Committee called “The KICK Enterprise Club PAC,” should know that they will be exposed.
Now is not the time for division within the ranks of the Harris County Democratic Party. And what attorney Allison Mathis is planning to do regarding actively campaigning against former Judge Ramona Franklin is a “DIVISIVE STRATEGY,” which should be denounced.
Former Judge Ramona Franklin placed her name on the ballot to run for the 496th Criminal District Court and won her race fair and square. Thus, Franklin is the “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE,” and must be supported by Democratic voters on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the General Midterm Election, in Harris County, Texas.
The position of Harris County Judge is not a judicial position, but is rather an administrative one, where the “COUNTY JUDGE” is the presiding officer and voting member of Commissioners Court. That said, the “COUNTY JUDGE” is largely responsible for overseeing all county government departments and approving the annual operating budgets for the entire county.
As the former Mayor, City Controller, and At-Large Councilwoman, Annise Parker has the relevant experience required to bring respectability, accountability, and fiscal responsibility back to Harris County’s Commissioners Court.
While Councilwoman Letitia Plummer is an African American female, “BLACK VOTERS” must resist the urge to support Plummer for symbolic reasons, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary, and nominate former Mayor Annise Parker.
On the Republican side of the aisle, former Harris County Treasurer Orlando Sanchez, “OUR CHOICE,” on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the race for Harris County Judge.
Orlando Sanchez is committed to lowering property taxes, reducing crime even further, and stopping the flooding problems that currently exist in our region.
While Warren Howell is a “LIKEABLE GUY,” it’s the former Houston City Councilman and Treasurer, Orlando Sanchez, who will give (THE GOP), which is rebranding itself as “The Greater Opportunity Party,” the best chance to win in November.
If Ysidra “Sissy” Kyles defeats Judge Brian “Edward” Warren in the race for the 209th Criminal District Court, and Melanie Miles defeats Judge Sharon Burney, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary Runoffs, Democrats will make history.
You might not know this, but never before in “AMERICA’S ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY,” has any political party fielded a “JUDICIAL SLATE,” which included (29) twenty-nine African American judicial nominees.
Today, there are (27) twenty-seven African Americans already nominated by Democratic Party Primary voters in Harris County, Texas. Of the (27) twenty-seven African American “JUDICIAL NOMINEES,” there are (26) twenty-six African American females, and only one African American male in this historic field “HISTORY MAKING,” trailblazers.
With two African American females running against one another in the race for Harris County Justice of the Peace Precinct 7, Place 2, there’s definitely going to be (28) twenty-eight African American “JUDICIAL NOMINEE” on the ballot running as Democrats in November.
Ysidra “Sissy” Kyles could likely overcome the deficit she faced on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary race for the 209th Criminal District Court, when she faced off against Judge Brian Warren and former Judge Robert Johnson.
As a refresher, Judge Brian Warren received 112,187 votes, for 35.7% of the vote, to finish first. Ysidra Kyles received 101,776 votes, for 32.4%, to finish second. And former Judge Robert Johnson received 100,643 votes, for 32.0%.
Since neither candidate running in the 209th Criminal District Court race received a majority of the vote, Warren and Kyles will face off in a Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Democratic Party Primary runoff election, to decide the winner.
